Topic: Admin bug?

Hi guys,

Few days back, i just installed the miacms 4.8 (full version)...I face some erros such as upon deleting menus or anything, it keeps prompting me to "select the item" although I've selected it. So now I couldn't delete anything I created..but somehow, when i click the check box which meant for "select all", I can delete with it..so when i want to publish/unpublish/delete/edit, i need to tick the "select all" check box...which quite weird.

So i was wondering whats wrong with it...and for the menu in the admin, sometimes, all the arrows are missing, so if i were to hover on sites/menus/content/components/modules etc, there's no submenu coming out. So I would like to know if this is really a bug sad

Thanks.

Re: Admin bug?

In addition to the above mentioned, I also cannot see any tick box during setting the global configuration (tick box" for Override write protection while saving").

I have one MIAcms upgraded from mambo installed on the other hosting....and so far, its fine...but this happen when i installed full fresh miacms 4.8 on my new host...

Thanks.

Re: Admin bug?

I'll pass this report to our javascript master smile  It's gotta be something about the new js architecture and event delegation. whatever it is, it'll be fixed in 4.8.1 wink

I'm glad, we waited on 4.8.1 for a few more days. Please keep those issue reports coming in folks. That's how we make the project better.

For this one it looks like not all your JavaScript files are in place.  I would try re-uploading them.  I've double checked and if they are all in place everything should be fine.

This is actually dependent on your server configuration.  It will not be shown if the option is not a possibility on that particular server based on the accounts permissions.

Oh i see...OK..so where is the javascript files?is it the "include" folder?or should i just upload all the 4.8 files again?

I'll try this first..thanks ya..

Re: Admin bug?

I would just reupload all of 4.8.  Hard to say what might have failed to upload.  Depending on what FTP client you have you might be able to see all the successful and/or failed transfers.  Just verify everything made it.  Filezilla is a pretty solid one.

Re: Admin bug?

I tried to up re-upload all again, but e prob still persist... sad I make e site offline first then re-upload everything already..
I'm using FileZilla...all files were successfully transferred.

Btw, is there anything to do with the .htacess?
or anything for the server permission setup?I did make few directories writeable '777' as recommended during installation.

Anything should I do right now?

Re: Admin bug?

Is the local site ok?

Re: Admin bug?

Yes, the local site is ok...so far i never encounter anything unusual...

Re: Admin bug?

It would help if you could test with Firefox and Firebug and report and back any issues.  That should help narrow down what files are not loading.  Or if you want to give a temporary super admin account on your site I'll take a look.
